Culture of Mobility open call has started!
A trip to a research conference, artistic residency, or maybe a study visit to a studio on the other side of the world? Where will you go and for what purpose it depends on you – from us you will get a financial support.
Since this year, Culture of Mobility program for creators and artists from Lower Silesia has been operating under the banner of the Wroclaw Institute of Culture! By participating in the support program, you can get funding for your dream trip abroad.
Applications to this year’s Culture of Mobility program will last four weeks: from April 1 to April 28. The results will be announced on May 10, and your departures should take place between May 1 and December 10, 2022 (you can also show the costs backwards – more info in the regulations).
Conducted since 2017, the Culture of Mobility program is addressed in particular to artists, curators, managers, activists, animators and cultural researchers from Wrocław and Lower Silesia who plan to implement their projects abroad individually or in groups during this year. Submitted projects do not have to consist only a residential or study visit. Persons who plan to take part in art reviews, festivals and conferences organised outside Poland or who intend to start foreign project work (e.g. in the form of concerts, performances, exhibitions or workshops) are also invited. From 2021, applications for networking trips aimed at acquiring partners are also accepted.
The winners of the call for proposals to cover travel and/or accommodation costs will receive financial support of up to PLN 3000 gross. All interested parties can apply – regardless of education or experience.
How to apply?
You can submit your applications via the ELECTRONIC FORM, which will be available from April 1 to April 28.
We accept applications in Polish or English, with the following documents attached:
→ applicant’s CV (as for groups, the applicant’s CV and shorter biographies of group members are required in the application form)
→ motivation letter (in the application form)
→ invitation / confirmation / letter of intent from a foreign partner confirming participation in a given event, project, residence or study visit (there are no templates for such a document, it should be formal and describe the nature of the cooperation; to be attached in the application form) or a description of the networking trip (detailed trip plan with the indication of people and institutions, organizations, events with which the applicant plans to establish a partnership)

Before submitting your project via the form, it is worth consulting with us. You can come to one of the information meetings live in Barbara (Świdnicka 8b street). You can choose from two dates: April 12 and 26 between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. (let us know in advance about the planned visit via e-mail: kulturamobilna@instytutkultury.pl). This way you will avoid formal errors and check whether your trip fits within the framework of the program.

Culture of Mobility program is one of the areas of activity of the Wrocław Institute of Culture, which deals with supporting mobility and promoting artists from Wrocław and Lower Silesia, and thus building and strengthening international cultural relations.
