Bachelor degree in Italian language and culture
Our committee of the Dante Alighieri Society, through the ICoN Consortium, makes it possible to hold the examinations and degree sessions, on behalf of the Italian universities that comprise it, of the Bachelor degree course in Italian language and culture for foreign citizens and Italians living abroad. To attend this course, it is essential to have an advanced knowledge of the Italian language and to hold the qualification that allows access to university in Italy
ICoN is an inter-university consortium established in January 1999 under the patronage of the Presidency of the Chamber of Deputies and with the support of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of University and Scientific and Technological Research. It operates in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
All teaching functions and activities are conducted electronically via the portals http://www.italicon.education and laurea.italicon.it
Study can be done in self-study or by taking advantage of tutoring for each subject.
What does the course look like?
The degree course is divided into four different subject areas (known as 'curricula'):
- arts-music-show
- didactic-linguistic
- literary
- cultural-historical
oriented to train partially distinct professional figures, although they are united by the study of Italian language and culture. Part of the teaching content is common to all curricula, part is specific. As the names say, the first curriculum has a greater amount of artistic content, the second of linguistic content, the third of literary content, the fourth of historical content.
Students enrolled in the degree course have access to all teaching resources, the Community section and forum pages. Access to virtual classes and interaction with tutors are restricted to students enrolled in the degree course with tutoring.
